Mon 17th Dec free 7-9pm Hackney Libraries reading groups Christmas celebration. Stoke Newington Library. No need to book.

Wed 19th Dec  free 6-8pm ‘Peer art appreciation’ with Newham Visual Arts Network at Rosetta Arts Hamilton Way. Bring your art work to show and also perhaps join the steering group for NVAN after a meeting. Express interest by 10th Dec please. Email

Thurs 20th Dec free  1pm. Meet at Eagle Pond for the annual Winter Solstice Walk with David Boote. You can join at other points making sure you end up at The Princess of Wales, Lea  Bridge Rd E10 for your deserved hot chocolate (or festive beer)2012-10-31 15.47.41E10

” Winter   Solstice walk one day early – Thursday 20th December.  The times will be   the same – 1pm at Eagle Pond (Walthamstow / Leyton corner opposite Rivenhall   Gardens), 2.30pm Leyton Green opposite Leyton Bus Garage, to finish at Lea   Bridge and the Princess of Wales pub around 4pm.”
