Up Your Street finds events and activities for seniors around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park . May is busy in Islington so I’ve included the events for us.

Fri 2nd May free or £3.       10.30am -noon. At The Convenience, Chatsworth Rd Hackney with Nanas . Line drawing for all abilities.

                          free        1.30-3.30pm. Craft Fair at The Claremont Project in White Lion Street Angel, Islington. RAGWORKS will be there showing off “Rags, Bags and Bunting”.

 Sun 4th May free BBC 3 Radio 4pm Dylan Thomas centenary


Wed 7th May     free
7pm Stratford East Singers get a freeview of the dress rehearsal of “Fings Aint Wot They Used To Be” at Theatre Royal Stratford East. E15.  (Many Up Your Street seniors belong to SES)


Thurs 8th May free 10.30-12,30pm At Nanas in The Convenience again is The History of Clapton with The Buildings Exploratory

                               £3  1pm”Lion in Winter” Hackney Picture House reminiscence screening,  with a cuppa

 5.30-8pm The Epicentre West Street E11. Harrow Green Community Library E11 celebrates with John Hegley and friends entertaining us.
Mon 12th May free 2-5pm Cubitt Ball with a tea dance. Ticketed event in The Design Centre Upper Street Islington. (Phone Cubitt Gallery to see if any tickets still available.)

                                £6 drop in 7.30-9.30pm  The Plough, Harrow Green Leytonstone. Drawing classes.


Wed 14th May free 
11-1pm Tate Britain “Soapbox ” for seniors but you need to book at the Tate.
