Oh oh oh! Hackney Empire did us proud, we, Hackney’s community groups, at the most welcoming theatre in London EVER. Oh yes it did.
Costumes and there were many, roller skating, acrobats, fantastic perfect scenery, a topical version of Jack’s Beanstalk overseen by an OAP Mother Earth straight out of Jordskott and a measured pace lured us in to be the art of pantomime’s most appreciative and enthralled audience.
The giant made children cry and the bugs wet us.
And the ice cream was a mere £2.50. I spent less than a tenner tonight thanks to Lucy Mcmenemy representing the Hackney Circle.
Jack and The Beanstalk at the Hackney Empire is stupendous and first class.
