                               free 4.30pm Hackney Central Library launches  GYPSY ROMA MONTH: Explore the history, culture and languages of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities in Hackney this month. The London Gypsy Orchestra plays. Always an excellent evening showcasing Irish dancing and etc. Free refreshments.

“Unfinished Histories is a project recording British Alternative Theatre, 1968 -88, through interviews and the collecting of archive material. Companies involved were among some of the first Black, Asian, lesbian, gay, women’s, disabled, political, experimental, TIE and community-based theatre groups seen in Britain. Work ranged from experiments in physical and visual theatre or performance art, to vernacular drama, agit-prop and satire, championing a generation of artists whose work has influenced and shaped present day theatre.”

Everyone welcome to attend a Drop-In at All Saints’ Church, Church Street, Stratford E15 3HU, on Wednesdays from 11am – 1pm. Just behind Old Town Hall.

You will get a warm welcome and a light lunch, will meet friendly people, and it will get you out for an hour or two! No pressure at all – just come and sit and chat, or look round this historic church. No charge!
